DO I HAVE TO BELIEVE IN ACUPUNCTURE/ONDAMED/REIKI FOR IT TO WORK?

No. These treatments have been used successfully to treat sick and injured animals as well as dementia patients who have no understanding of how these techniques could help them get better.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

It varies from one person to the next. If you present with an acute problem you may only need a few treatments. However, if the problem is chronic and longstanding it may require several treatments over many months. The initial plan usually entails one treatment per week for 4-6 weeks. When the initial treatment plan is completed your overall Qi energy will be reassessed to see how much healing has occurred and what treaments you may need to further enhance your healing process.

WOULD MEI ZEN COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE WORK FOR ME?

If you are interested in having this treatment, we offer an initial complimentary 15-20 minute consultation to see if you would be a good candidate. This process is not just for those who already have fine lines and wrinkles but it can work on those in their 20s and 30s to help slow down the aging process while working on underlying health.

DO I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING SPECIAL TO PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?

It is preferable to do the following:

  • Wear loose-fitting clothing
  • Eat lightly on day of appointment and no heavy meals after your treatment
  • Limit your intake of caffeine to one cup that day
  • No alcoholic beverages within 6 hours before and after treatment
  • Continue to take all of your prescribed medications
  • Do not schedule any intense physical activity, sexual activity or any significant medical interventions for the remainder of the day following your treatment

WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER ACUPUNCTURE OR ONDAMED TREATMENTS?

As a medical physician, the receipt that is issued to you can be submitted to a Flexible Spending Account for reimbursement or to those insurance companies that cover acupuncture or biofeedback treatments. Please review your insurance plan’s benefits with your insurance provider.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?

We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.  All services must be paid in full at the time of your visit.

WHAT IS YOUR APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment we request that you give a minimum of 24 hours notice before your scheduled appointment. If notice is received after this time, we reserve the right to charge a fee equal to 100 percent of the scheduled treatment.
