Reiki is defined as universal life energy. It is a method of non-invasive energy healing that works on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Any person who is attuned to receive this energy can become a Reiki healer. The energy used to heal is not coming from within the person giving the treatment but from universal life force energy that is within every living thing. The healing energy is passed on to the individual by gentle touch. A Reiki treatment is quite unique as the energy knows what area in a person’s body needs to be healed and it intuitively goes there. Sounds magical, but it works. I have been practicing Reiki since 1997 and have seen some amazing results.
Some of the effects and benefits of Reiki are:
Promoting a sense of wellness
Balancing of the body’s energies and chakras
Releasing blocked energy and promoting a state of relaxation
Releasing blocked and suppressed emotions
Accelerating the body’s natural healing ability
Working in conjunction with regular medical, psychological or psychotherapy treatments
You do not have to believe in Reiki in order to receive benefits from the energy treatments.
